Audience Viewing Habits

I asked 5 individuals 8 questions about movies and these were the questions:

1. What is your favourite film?
2. What is your favourite movie genre and why?
3. Who is you’re favourite actor and actress/ and why?
4. What do you prefer mainstream or niche?
5. Do you prefer watching films at cinema or home?
6. How often do you watch films in a week?
7. If you could be in any film which film would you want to be in and what character would you want to be?
8. What was the last film you watched?

Summary of the questions asked:

After analysing the answers I got from the questions I conducted that the majority of people who I had asked liked the horror genre of films and they see horror as being more entertaining as well as intriguing as a genre.

The responses from the favourite actress and actors where mainly all mainstream stars such as Brad Pitt Vin diesel and as well as actresses like Megan Fox and Sarah Jessica Parker.

From the 5 people I asked 3 people preferred mainstream movies rather than niche films, so thats 60% in total. I generally feel that the reason for this is simply because of the well known actors that star in the mainstream films and that they get a lot more recognition in terms of promotion so this helps them up into getting more audience.

A lot of the audience I  asked also said that they watch films on a weekly basis and go cinema at least twice a month if they get time, so this shows people generally do go out and watch new releases if it's a movie they seem interested in, however the majority that did like watching movies at cinema did say though that they preferred watching films at home as they felt more comfortable in their own atmosphere.
